DP has added two new part-time posts to our team and both have been filled by candidates with lived experience as refugees in the UK.
Moutasim Abudigin is our new Drop-In Assistant, working each week to help the team keep the Drop-in services and space running smoothly. He was a Volunteer with us for just over a year and then started as a part-time employee in September 2024.
Moutasim has expertise as a journalist and writer. He is enthusiastic about his work at DP, always has a smile and is very happy to help in any way needed! A great addition to the team.
Abdul Umary very recently came on board in the new role of DP Operations and Development Manager. This is a new position which came out of the strategic review we carried out in 2024 with help from the Cranfield Trust.
Abdul will be responsible for developing and sustaining DP’s services in support of asylum seekers and refugees in Bolton. This will include team management and development (employees and volunteers); developing donations and fund raising; building partnerships and connections within the community and leading on the introduction of Msoft 365 to enhance our performance and digital security.
Abdul has expertise in the field of humanitarian aid and development , Project Management and many other skills that fit well with DP’s development and sustainability needs.
